Accommodation in Llanbister
We can offer our guests at The Lion Hotel Llanbister the choice of four comfortable rooms, three of which are all shower en-suite and one has its own private shower room.
Elystan is decorated in Victorian Reds and is a twin room. There are beautiful views from this room looking out over the River Ithon and surrounding hillside. The room is named after Elystan Glodrydd, the welsh King of Radnorshire who was born in the year 927.
Dorddu is decorated in calm greens and also looks out over the river Ithon and over the village and the Dorddu Brook. This Superking room is able to have the beds seperated to form twin beds. Dorthddu was a descendant of Elystan Glodyrdd. Dorddu has just been redecorated and has a new en suite bathroom.
We also have a small double room named Maelienydd which was the Kingdom that Elystan ruled over and the views from this room look over to the open hills which are still named Maelienydd to this day. This is decorated with a light beige colours.
Ithon is a light and spacious room with a kingsize bed. It has it's own modern private shower room directly across the passageway.
All our rooms have TV with free Sky, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer and toiletries. Free Wifi access is available in all rooms in the Lion itself.
We are a dog friendly Hotel based in Mid Wales surrounded by open Common Land with free to roam access. We are the only Licenced Bed & Breakfast and Restaurant in Llanbister.
We are also a biker friendly B & B and our situation in the centre of Mid Wales makes The Lion Hotel an ideal base for touring Wales.
Our new Victorian-style veranda offers undercover & secure parking.
Choosing the names of the rooms was made easy by the fact that the co-owner of The Lion Hotel, Llanbister is a descendant of Elystan Glodyrdd and even the Lion Hotel's sign and logo is based of Elystan's Coat of Arms. More details can be found at www.elystan.co.uk
The kitchen is open from 6.00pm - 8.30pm for residents.
Tariff 2024
Bed & Breakfast Rates:
Rates are per room per night and include a full Welsh breakfast. Rates range from £75 - £97. Long term and single occupancy rates are also offered.
Children are welcome at The Lion Hotel and cots can be provided.
Pets that are well behaved are also welcome at an additional charge of £5 per pet.
We are also host members of Brtistops which means that Motorhomes can stay on our car park overnight free of charge.
Booking:
Credit/debit card details are required on booking to guarantee reservation.
No charge will be made for rooms cancelled more than 48 hours prior to arrival. If less than 48 hours the whole reservation will be charged.
