Lion Hotel Access Statement
At the Lion Hotel we aim to and confidently ensure that all our guests have comfortable facilities, all requests are dealt with efficiently and all guests are made to feel welcomed throughout their stay.
The Hotel is an old Victorian building. It has 2 levels; at the entrance to the building there is one step. It is accessible with the ramp provided by the hotel, on request.
The dinning room is also on the ground floor it is small but quite spacious. A member of staff can read the menu if required. The entire menu is home made, we can cater for all types of dietary requirements – notice may be required. Outside eating is available in our beer garden; there is access either by 2 steps or a stone slab path.
The bar is also on the ground level, there is a step up to the toilets, again a ramp will be provided on request.
On the second floor there are 3 en-suite rooms, which are only accessible by the stairs. All the walls and doors are a light colour in contrast to the darker carpet. Assistance dogs are warmly welcomed we have a large garden which the dogs can be walked and we can suggest alternative walks around the village if required.
Most mobile phones networks are available although Orange has no signal in this area.
We have onsite private car parking; staff will help to assist guests with luggage if required. There is a bus stop opposite the hotel which offers regular service into the 2 nearest towns, (Newtown, 17 miles and Llandrindod Wells, 12 miles). Ask a member of staff for bus times. We also offer a pick up/ drop off service for walkers – this needs to be arranged prior to arrival.

The owners live on site and are available to assist whenever possible.
There are smoke alarms in all letting bedrooms, one at the top of the landing and more throughout the hotel.
